4. Particular value of identified primeval and old-growth forests on the planned expansion territories of NNP «Vyzhnytsky»

The most valuable feature of the primeval and old-growth forests on theplanned expansion territories of  NNP“Vyzhnytsky” is their tree species composition, very rare for the Ukrainian Carpathians, most commonly represented by beech and silver fir stands. This especially applies to the following stands types: sycamore-common beech, Norway spruce-common beech, silver fir-common beech, common beech-silver fir and sycamore-speckled alder tree stands.
